Intro

Well, I've decided to become a blogger mostly because my family and friends are so spread out that it seemed the only way to really keep in touch! And I must say that I was inspired to do this by Melanie. Just to catch everyone up...We are in Okinawa, Japan with the U.S. Air Force for the next three years. We've been here since July 2007 and have really loved it so far. We have a two-year-old daughter named Keira as well as an American Pit Bull Terrier puppy named Naoki and the two of them are best friends. Eric has been in the Air Force for almost 2 years and does PMEL (precision measurement equipment laboratory - equipment calibration). I have been staying home with Keira since she was born and have loved every minute (okay...maybe not every minute :). We lived in Salt Lake City for 5 years before coming here. I came home from my mission (Belgium) in April 2001, met Eric in Aug, and was married in December. I know quick, but I have never regretted it!

Okinawa is amazing. We have become avid snorkelers and are hoping to take our SCUBA cert classes soon. We've seen amazing castle ruins here as well as extremely narrow streets! We were surprised that there are 4 LDS branches here (enough to make a ward, but the buildings are too small). Eric and I are the nursery leaders (brand new too) and are getting over the overwhelming part of having 12 2 year olds for 2 hours. It's fun having Keira in there with us and seeing her interact with kids her own age (all except one are boys...think that will make her a tom boy?). Well, that's pretty much it. I'll try to post some pics.

Yes, I remember you, Tricia! How are you? It's great to see you've started a blog. It will definately be easier to keep in touch now especially since you're in Japan! Wow! Why does everyone seem to be moving overseas? Where are the rest of your family? It was great to hear from you and I'll add you to my blog list so we can keep in touch. Good luck in nursery! I know what that's like...

Hi Tricia! I'm momthebomb as my kids call me, aka Susan Reed, Ryan's mom. I've got lots of pics of you! I can't believe you're in Japan. How exciting. We moved to Mexico City a few months ago. We're now empty nesters. It's amazing living in a foreign country. We plan to be here until we retire. You have a lovely family. I love blogs!
