Lesson Learned
The other day we had a frightening experience. Keira was in her room "taking a nap" and Eric and I were in the living room watching a movie. We suddenly heard a loud crack and then Keira started yelling at the top of her lungs. We ran in there and she was under her blankets screaming. She kept yelling about fire and pointing towards the door. I realized that she was pointing at the outlet and I could see something sticking out of it. We looked at her hands and sure enough, there were tiny burns on her fingers (the one on her thumb was the worst of the bunch...it actually looked like the thing she had stuck in the outlet, which was a paper clip). We took her to the clinic where they told me to wash her hands and put Neosporin twice a day and to watch her for any weird signs. Then I kinda got a lecture...I'm already freaking out...already amazed that all she got were a few minor burns, but the doctor precedes to tell me that I'm lucky she wasn't in the States because it would have been much worse...very messy. Those were the words she used and the look she gave me was one of "you're an idiot". The thing is we DO have covers on all her outlets except for where the night light was and she had never played with them before. But as the title says, we've learned our lesson...there will be outlet covers on all outlets throughout the house and I don't think Keira will ever touch one again. (She wouldn't go in her room alone all day yesterday.)

Scary! Dont be so hard on yourself though. I am so glad she's okay. Those Japanese people are crazy;) jk
You should have just told the doctor some of Eric's stories and then they would know where she gets it from.
Oh my gosh!! I would of hit the doctor but then again you do have more patience then me.
I'm glad she is okay. That is pretty freaky! Dumb doctors, they can be so arrogant. I had one of those types today. (I took Robbie in today and turned out she has a double ear infection) :P
I hope she starts feeling better soon. Those darn outlets...they just look so fun!!!
Don't you just love it when the doctors give you a lesson. PLEASE! I bet she doesn't even have any kids.
Hey cute lady! Can you give me your email address since I am going private?? Thanks!!
I am sorry I missed you yesterday! (I mean today there) Next time I will plan ahead and make sure to call when you are home:)
Oh my gosh! How sad that she was too scared to go in her room! And how scary!
