To leave Okinawa. I think I have a bad case of island fever. It usually hits around this time of year. It's the time that the housing office keeps our A/C off despite it being 75+ degrees and 80% humidity. It's also the time of rain and getting sick. I have to say that I'm not in love with Okinawa, even in the best of times. I think it has to do with a lot of things. Not knowing the language, not a fan of seafood or Japanese food, housing sucks, things are so expensive, snakes that can kill you in 15 mins or less, no shopping (for us tall people), no room to breath! Except when I see the ocean. I need to do that more. I love being able to see "forever". Well, hopefully we'll only be here another year. Eric's board for PA school meets at the end of this month and we're keeping our fingers crossed and praying that he gets accepted. If not, we'll be here another 2 years. Well, that's my venting session (thanks, I feel a lot better), now on to happier things....
Allyson continues to grow like a weed. She's started to laugh, kind of. She kind of gasps, smiles real big, and then grunts when we tickle her. I don't think she's quite mastered it yet. She sleeps GREAT at night. I'll put her down around 7-8pm and then she's out till about 5am to 7:30. She still has all her dark hair (getting the great bald spot in the back though) and we think she'll have blue eyes.
Keira has her first black eye (partial). She got it while jumping on a trampoline at a friend's house. Add that to her "Harry Potter" scar and it looks like we beat her. Her new thing lately is to help us make dinner. She sets the table now and last night made dinner for us. She made BBQ chicken in the crock pot and baked potatoes (washed, poked the holes, and wrapped in tin foil) and steamed broccoli. Maybe in few more years, I won't have to cook anymore ;)
Well, that's it for now. Enjoy the pics!

Those pictures look really good. What camera did you use? I love you and I am sooooo glad that you are a better nicer mom than I am a dad. Keep up the good work, oh and can you make me some dinner please?
Yeah your pictures do look great! ;) We are hoping and praying he gets accepted as well!!! WE WANT TO SEE YOU SO BAD!! We will for sure make a trip to see you if buying passports aren't involved! What a great helper Kiera is. She is too grown up I tell ya! We miss you!!! Hang in there!
I agree, your photos look amazing. Jed will be jealous that your little girl will stiffen enough for Eric to hold her that way. He's tried and tried with our boys but has had zero success.
I love the venting session on Japan - I've been curious to hear what it's like - I would get island fever as well... have you or the government ever considered Illinois :)?
Hang in there Tricia!! I know those Japs can be crazy since I am one! :) I love the pics and I hope they turn on your A/C soon! :)
