Diving Board

Keira passed the swim test!! We are very proud of her...she did it so that she could go in the deep end and go off the diving board. She had to swim 3 lines (the black lines on the bottom of the pool that mark the lanes) out and then turn around (by herself) and swim back to the wall. She then had to tread water for 1 min. The lifeguards said she is the youngest one to pass the swim test (at least this summer). When she went to get her wrist band, we were wondering what was taking so long, so Eric went to check...they were asking her to write her name on the clipboard. The lifeguard that gave her the test told the other one, "She's only 3! She can't write her name yet." A little boy (about 5-6) saw her at the diving board, so he came up and asked her how old she was. When she told him, he said, "Oh, you're the 3 year old that passed the test! That's really good!" He was a cute kid...I think that was just his pick up line. Anyway, she spent the rest of the time on the board. Eric did too...he even did an awesome/awful belly flop for everyone to enjoy.
