Miscarriage

Just to let everyone know...I had a miscarriage on Monday night. It started Sunday night, so we went to the ER which is when we saw the baby and heartbeat, but we were told that we had a 50% chance to miscarry. I was then back on Monday night because I was passing tissue and more blood. That visit to the ER was basically a joke...the doctor didn't exam me (didn't even ask me to change). He told me that I was miscarring and sent us back home. I then passed out in the morning from loss of blood, was able to call Eric and then headed back to the ER. Long story short, I ended up having surgery to remove hemorrhaging and remaining tissue. I'm doing fine...physically and emotionally. In a way, it was good that it was so drawn out because it gave me time to realize we were going to lose the baby, time to realize that it's not our fault, to remember what the Gospel teaches us, and of course to trust in God. The branch members have been amazing with watching Keira for us and bringing dinners. It's great to feel that I've made such good friends in the small amount of time we've been here. Thank you everyone for your prayers and support.

I am terrible about reading blogs!! I missed the announcement before the loss. I'm sorry Tricia! I miscarried about a month before I got pregnant with Halle. It is no fun - and I"m sure the hemorrhaging made it much harder. I'm thinking about you... Love.
